One-to-one physics tutoring, online.

Live lessons with me for A-level, IB and GCSE physics. We look at the physics in a simulation first, write the maths for it, then practise the exam questions.

Free, 30 minutes, no payment on this page.

How lessons work

The same method as the lessons on this site, with me beside you. Try the pieces below.

01

We start from a question

Each topic opens with a question you can picture, and you guess before we look. A wrong guess costs nothing: it shows us both what to work on.

A bowling ball and a tennis ball are dropped from the same height. Which lands first?

Just guess: wrong guesses help you learn.

02

You watch the physics happen

We run a simulation together and change one thing at a time, so you see what the equations will describe before you meet them.

Mechanics · Projectile motion

Three balls leave at the same speed. Which angle throws the furthest?

Your guess

Just guess: no calculation needed.

03

Then we write the maths

The formula arrives once the idea is clear, first in words, then in symbols. Then we use it on exam questions from your board.

In words

stopping distance = thinking distance + braking distance

In symbols

d=v tr+v22a

Each part of the formula is something you have already watched happen.

04

Feedback between lessons

Send me your homework and get written feedback within one working day, so a mistake is fixed before the next lesson, not repeated in it.

Homework · Projectiles, Q3

Example

Time in the air for a ball kicked at speed u and angle θ:

Your answer

t=2ug

Feedback

Only the vertical part of the speed decides the time in the air. Use usin⁡θ instead of u: t=2usin⁡θg.

What you get

  • Two live one-to-one lessons a week, over video.
  • Lessons planned around your exam board and the topics you find hardest.
  • Written homework feedback within one working day.
  • The interactive lessons on this site, to practise between sessions.
  • A trial lesson before you commit to a month.

Monthly tutoring

€500

per month · 2 lessons a week

Each month is paid up front and runs as one block. The first call and a trial lesson come before you commit.

About me

I have a Physics Master’s from the University of Vienna. Most students I meet can use the formulas but can’t picture what is happening, so physics stays a set of rules to memorise. I teach it the other way round: you see the thing behave first, then we write the maths for it. I also write the lessons and build the simulations on this site.

How it starts

    Book a free 30-minute call

Pick a slot below. No payment and no commitment.

  2. 02

Send me a piece of recent work

On the call I show you where marks are being lost and what we would work on first.

  3. 03

    Try a lesson, then decide

We start with a trial lesson, so you see how I teach before you commit to a month.

Questions

Is it online?

Yes. Every lesson is live over video, one to one. You need a laptop and a stable connection, nothing else to install.

Which levels and exam boards do you teach?

A-level physics for AQA, OCR, Edexcel and Cambridge International (CIE); IB Physics at Standard and Higher Level; and GCSE and IGCSE. Tell me your board on the call and I plan the lessons around your specification.

How does payment work?

Tutoring is €500 a month for two lessons a week. Each month is paid up front and runs as one block, so stopping part-way through a month is not refunded. You start with the free call and a trial lesson, so you only commit once you have seen how I teach.

What if we need to reschedule?

Give me 24 hours’ notice and we move the lesson to another slot in the same week, at no cost. Lessons cancelled with less than 24 hours’ notice count as taken.

How quickly do I get homework feedback?

Within one working day, Monday to Friday.
